Station-Drivers.com are hosting a new sets of Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Series Drivers 5.12.05.522 WHQL! Dated 29/10/2004 plus Creative have released a Digital Rights Management version 1.84.0055 for Sound Blaster Audigy 2 and Audigy 2 ZS series audio devices.

This web update combines the features and fixes of three previous updates:

Sound Blaster Audigy 2 and Audigy 2 ZS Driver Update (released on 29 July, 2004)
EAX 4.0 ADVANCED HD Driver Patch Update for Sound Blaster Audigy 2 and Audigy 2 ZS (released on 29 March, 2004)
EAX 4.0 ADVANCED HD Driver Update for Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 and Audigy 2 ZS (released on 19 November, 2003).

In addition, this update adds Digital Rights Management (DRM) support for Sound Blaster® Audigy® 2 and Audigy 2 ZS series internal audio devices.

The official drivers ar dated 10-18-04 the ones from station drivers is dated 10-20-04. not 10-29-04

Not sure how the DRM works.

DRM.... I don't need babysitting on my computer thank you very much. I refuse to download this. And from the way it sounds the old drivers don't support DRM. So until there is a reason for me to need this I will never download this update.

NOTE: This is NOT A PATCH OR FIX. It just adds DRM support.

The bottem part might be though. But it doesn't say what it does...

I let you know in 15 mins I almost done downloading the drivers. My currect 3dmakr01se score is 11,396 defult clock settings on mod audigy 2 zs If they do go up then it's worth download or not.

Jesus christ how much will it take for Creative to get up off their lazy asses and make a actual DRIVER update??! They haven't updated them since March, and they aren't anything good. They release this little stupid patches to make it look like a big update when they're only adding small features. lame.

i dont have any driver problems, except incompatibilities with the HDTV wonder, but that's ATi's fault as the HDTV wonder is newer

Although the drivers themselves haven't had an update (due to creative jerks buying the chip manufacturer out).... there probably the most solid drivers yet.. (aside from 3Dmark03 sound test... ONLY sound related issue i have EVER come across)

software/drivers are probably the most excellent you'll ever find for a sound card... and the sound quality is absalutely excellent....

Yeah, they work on SB Live! 5.1, but as usually, Advanced EQ features don't work.

This is stupid...I manually extracted the files from their latest 'update' and (surprise!) the drivers are still 0444

This 0552, if I'm not mistaken, is taken from Audigy 2 Value Installation CD.

You can reach AdvancedEQ settings through the EAX Control applet in AudioHQ. Once there, selecting a setting (Rock, Disco, Jazz, etc) often will result in the audio going mute. To fix this, scroll down in the big window in the middle to ParametricEQ and just give that a click of the mouse. Then, on the bottom volume slider give the little arrow a click of the mouse. The sound returns along with the particuler AdvancedEQ setting you had selected up top! Now close the EAXControl and answer yes when it pops up with "you've changed the settings, wanna save it?" It won't save it, but if you don't say yes it'll just mute the audio when it closes. On the Live, I kept AudioHQ in the systray so I'd have easy access to the EAXControl.

I've just bought a second hand Audigy 2 ZS, and installed these drivers, but there's nowhere to alter my rear speaker volume. Well, in fact there's no additional creative sound control panels at all. I guess this is due to this just being an update, not a set of drivers to do a clean install from?

What's the best way to install ZS drivers from scratch? Supplied with my ZS card I have an audigy 2 drivers CD (note: not ZS). Should I uninstall what I've installed, install that CD then reinstall this update?

Also, I'm a bit wary about the CD drivers being 300mb. What kind of stuff are they going to install that makes up 300mb?!

on creative's website i see a ton of updates for this audigy 2. But no where do i see the full feature driver. I haved a situation where a customer of mine lost the CD that came with the unit, and suffered a hard drive crash. I am frantically searching for the full feature driver of this device. Anyone know where i can find one?

May i just come up with a couple of points about you're question.I am lost to see how you have delved well into the Audio Archives to bring up a old thread (close to 4 years old) about a Graphics card Problem you need help to resolve.

If you are still having problems may i suggest you submit youre question in the ATI Graphics Cards Forum where you should get more support.

As youre question is offtopic and this thread is old im closing this thread..
