sound probelm with audigy 2 zs

Ijust got an audigy 2 zs and now I sort of have a problem. The speakers I have are altec lansing 251s, they are 5.1. The sound coming out of the center speaker is not loud at all. When I try to calibrate the speakers I get to step 2 of 5 balance volume adjusment. When I get to the front center speaker it tells me to adjust the volume till the two sounds are at the same level. I adjusted it all of the way and they are not even at the same level. Has anyone else had this problem? or know how to fix it?
