Thanks for putting a link for that file. I think the files are corrupted or something. Tried it again with that file you put up and now it says "data1.cab" not found. I'm using the latest WinRar. Downloaded the 4 rar files 3 times now. Twice with a download manager and once with IE. I can see it start to add the files to the folder , then it stops when it can't find the missing ones. Guess I'll try the ISO file next.

Tried this on my Audigy 1 using the iso file download and patches. So far so good, everything is working and it's REALLY loud. Good stuff!

Everythings working great except for the sound mixer.... and the dvd-audio player doesn't wanna see my drive.... dunno why???? Otherwise, all is great!!!
1st 3 files are same size, last file is a bit smaller...

thanks for the LS patch!! too bad i deleted the iso of audigy2 install CD... (redownloading now) i was hoping there was hope for my LS (Loser Series) card. i'll post my results as soon as that iso is done downloading!! |

well, i finally got the iso for the the audigy2 cd, patched and ran start.exe....
everything seemed to install just fine, it didnt give an error the an audigy2 wasnt detected. after it installed the driver and what not i rebooted only to have windows try to install drivers for my LS!!!!  i pointed windows to the audigy2 drivers dir... but windows refused to install the drivers... i patched the latest driver update and ran that too... but same results as above.... grrrr.... looks like the LS is infact the Loser Series of the Audigy... |

well, i fiddled around w/ it and got it to accept the new audigy2 drivers, but....
when i rebooted, i was glad to hear the windows startup sound and then a super annoying hiss from my speakers... this is what i did, i installed my regular LS drivers and (foolishly) installed the updated audigy2 drivers... the moral... dont do it. dvdkindom, any news on LS cards??? |

hey folks,
i followed the guide step by step, though i was still using ctcomp patch version 7.1.0 i got a SBLive 5.1 Digital, the driver seems to work, at least i have sound, but when i try to open surround mixer, i get an error telling me that the required hardware for this driver is not installed. what is more device manager still lists an SB Live!. shouldnt it be showing a SB Audigy ZS now? using WinXP Pro SP1..... thanks for any help... boba |

Has anyone been able to dl the iso from my ftp? I know it slow as hell. I just tried and it it said 38hrs to dl.

If it goes down do not worry I will have it up at least for this week.
 when ever ATI realeses the new drivers it will be down for a while. I will check on things when I get home. Also I have had cable problems latley but it looks like they fixed it lastnight. I just remebered EMule is running, I will close that when I get home.

dvd-audio will not pretty much everything that you have on your live you get on these drivers but the CMSS really boosts the quality. but since you have the older eax chip, it can't benefit from EAX Advanced HD

I have a SBLive Value 4.1 CT4780 using Logitech Z560's, and you can sure tell the difference. The sound is WAY louder and it does sound better. Then as an added bonus, all the apps are updated also.
I almost want to go as far and say it's like getting a new soundcard. These drivers are definately better that the 1's from Creative I was using.No problems with anything after installing. Games sound better too. I can't tell for sure, but it kinda looks like from running FRAPS that my frame rates playing games is just a little higher. I couldn't get the equalizer to work, but I didn't have 1 before anyways. Thanks BiGBrOWnPimpsta you get a 10/10 for the guide.

when i run the start.exe file, it installs w/o complaining that there is no audigy2 card
but after the reboot, the card still shows up as an unknown device in harward manager... i did fresh install of XP SP1 on a spare harddrive and got the same results. im not sure what the hell is going on with it. anyone with a LS card got it to work?? |
