xfi titanium optical/headset problem
just a headsup. if you use the optical output on your card sound will not be diverted from speakers to headset, meaning you cant get any sound over a headset that is plugged into the back of the card or front i/o panel while usinng optical output. the mic will work.
from what i gathered from tech support(such as it is) this is a hardware issue, so no software fix. very irritating for me as this is the sole reason i got this card as a replacement for my old xfi plat. wanted the optical output to hook into my old yamaha dsp-a3090. & to be able to plug my headset into front i/o for vent. they claim if i use the analog outputs the i/o will work. i am dubious about that & will test tomorrow. installing it was a pain as that particular slot was occupied by h2o tubing passthrough. & since my 280gts covers the 2nd pci-e slot had no options.
