I would post this in the youp-pax forums but I have not yet received my confirmation e-mail. Anyway in a thread about 3 months old on the youp-pax forums there is mention of the current (3 months ago)drivers disabling the S/PDIF input setting.
At the moment I use the 4.10 drivers for windows xp with X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro card and the input setting is still grayed out, am I doing something wrong or are the current drivers still buggy? I would very much like to try out the optical input with my Playstation 3.
Hi You should be all set thanks letting me know
Anway there no plan fix drivers disabling the S/PDIF input setting at all I think it's creative end of that I had no luck fixing that. That why I got a new bluegears sound card for my upcomming ps3. And like I said I don't know how fix SPDIF grey out yet. I had no luck with that area. My freind leon to busy with his life right now with school.
Thanks for the quick answer Robert At least I can still get stereo sound from the optical input. Soon I'm going to buy a logitech z-5500 system anyway so I will be able to play 5.1 compressed audio.
