Does the X-Fi I/o driva bay work with the Audigy 2 ZS?

Hi guys I just recently got an Audigy 2 ZS for my pc, and I have been thinking on getting the drive bay for it, but its been hell trying to find it at a decent price, so I thought of using the X-Fi I/o drive bay, are they compatible?

Oh yeah my rig is a Corr 2 Quad 2.4 ghz, Nvidia 8800 GT, with 4 gigs of ram running windows Xp 64 bits, oh yeah I just got the card yesterday and haven't installed it yet any tips for installing it and which drivers should I get, and I have a Logitech X-530 5.1 speakers.

Thanks for everything.

no.
at least the audigy 2 i/o drive i had wasnt compatible with my x/fi. while i dont remember the specific reason, it seems like there was no way for compatiblity to happen wich his why i ended up purchasing an x/fi i/o drive.

Actually I was wondering if it I could do it the other way around connecting the Audigy 2 ZS sound card to the X-fi drive bay.

given that it did not work the one way it would be very reasonable to assume that it wont work the other...
have u actually tried it yet? wont hurt it, will either work or wont. i believe the main reason(besides different wiring) is the way x/fi does things in the digital domain.
like i said the easiest way is just to hook it up. i would aslo use creatives latest ver driver for the platinum series as this card comes with the i/o drive.
bty, welcome to the forum

Well I haven't tried it yet since I havent bought the drive bay yet, so even though I want to try I really can't justify spending 80 bucks for sometyhing I'm not really sure it would work. But thanks anyway, but damn the sound difference betwen the audigy and integrated audio is atonishing. And thanks for the welcoming seems like a cool forum.
