Audio-IN issues with X-Fi ExtremeMusic

Hello there!
I've got a certain problem, which I fail to solve.
I've got a brandnew PC, everything is set up.
There is my X-Fi ExtremeMusic, which runs with YouP Pax Suite 2007 on Vista Buisness x64.
When using voip applications and playing Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, I am muted after a while, but can still hear what others are saying. In Skype for example, you can "fix" this by choosing the _same_ Audio-IN signal in the settings again, though a few minutes later you'll be back where you started.
I can't really find the reason.
Did I not clean all the original Ceative drivers?
Is this something common? Is it Vista's fault?

Please help me and thanks in advance.

As far as testing goes, Ventrilo seems to be affected, too ...
EDIT: Teamspeak, too
EDIT2: Apparently, this muting only happens when being ingame. Hm...
