Problem with modified drivers

Hello,

Just wanted to check out the YouP-PAX modified drivers for Audigy series and couldn't get past the installation. Tried 4.09 and 4.07 versions so far with the same result. When it comes to installing ctoss2k.sys my XP drops to BSOD, claiming this file caused the crash.
Exactly same thing happens when i try to UNinstall the drivers. I just have to reboot to Safe Mode and do it from there. Problem is, drivers aren't finished installing obviously after such crashes (i tried installing in Safe Mode as well , installation goes through then, but there's still no sound in Normal mode again, so doesnt work that way either).

I've tried numerous different combinations, doing everything by the book with removing drivers properly, deleting temp files, and cleaning up with drivercleaner - result was always the same. Running an Audigy 2 ZS (A000) on XP Pro SP2. Has anyone experienced this and what could be a possible solution ?
Thanks in advance.
