Any word get on how these perform? or are they any better then the .234's?

EDIT: the also won't work after 1 August 2003, the site says they fix Audigy 1 gaming performance but might not work with other creative apps...can anyone confirm that they do/don't screw up other apps?

It can probably be easily hacked. Just need some feedback on it.

I used ctcomp to use the install on my 5.1 plat works just fine. It does improve the sound over the Gateway drivers that I was using.

This release is ideal for high-end gamers who want even better performance than they currently enjoy. This release has been tested by Creative Labs for gaming use ONLY. No other functionality has been tested. It should be noted that the Sound Blaster applications provided with your card may not function after installation of this driver. For mixer and speaker configuration the standard Windows apps can be used.

This release will be followed up with a final official driver update that will integrate the performance features with the core driver and application set. The beta release is designed to stop functioning on the 1st of August 2003 by which time the final release previously mentioned will be available.
Very beta.

It, however, should work with Audigy2 apps.

As far as I can tell it works w/ all Aud 2 apps. the onlythings I don't have installed is Speaker cal. Eax and the GO thingy. I am also using my remote w/ no problems.

Creative 4/11/2003 5.12.1.383 Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher Used Ctcomp to install on SBlive 5.1 works. At least these are not beta
Well after further testing I have found I lost input of my Live drive. The options are there for recording not playing. It could just be me since I have changed drivers 3x this week. LOL I will say the Aud 2 WHQL are great.

I'm using the Beta Audigy 1 / Audigy 2 drivers for my audigy, it's working fine, I like, and I'm just too lazy to hack the drivers, I'm sure they'll release new ones soon.

The beta set killed my rear speakers, I checked and made sure everything was set correctly for the 5.1 setup but no joy. I'm not that into hacking the Audigy 2 drivers (I'm using an Audigy 1), so I think I'll just wait for the official release.

ok after uninstalling all cl software and drivers. I installed the a2 cd on my 5.1 card all fine of course then I installed the beta drivers in Surround mixer for Source I cannot choose aux2 as input source but I can choose it for recording. This is the same w/ the official a2 drivers. It would be no big deal but I have my portable radio pluged into that conn. Any Ideas? I know that the a2 has these same connections. Besides the older drivers work correctly

Same as me, ive installed .381s and no go. Is there away to install Audigy2 Apps like EAX Console with an audigy1 card?

I have no sound in my rears either...seem like great drivers but just that little problem
