Hello!
First, just wanted to say thanks for having this board, tremendous amount of info here.
I've got a X-Fi Champion on x86 Vista. Upon finding this thread, I see my answer as to why I couldn't get any digital audio - IN to process - since CL nerfed the Dolby Digital. I can use the the analog LINE IN to get sound from my Comcast cable box.
So I attempted to use the Vista driver set you have available.
After I did an uninstall of every Creative package, uninstalled the sound driver from the Device Manager, and rebooted.
Ran the YouP-PAX installer, and while everything seemed to be fine, the BSoD ran a muck. Memory dump, reboot, login, and it tries to install driver again. Another BSoD. Reboot, login as Safe Mode, driver installs without a hitch. Attempt to install AudioCS, error 6003. Reboot, and while attempting to load in Normal, BSoD. Logged back into Safe Mode, removed YouP-PAX, rebooted, and ended up reinstalling CL driver / AudioCS.
Frustrating, I know.
So, if I do a dual boot with XP Pro, will the X-Fi have Dolby Digital with either CL or YouP-PAX?

Hi I'm plan get Vista for my next system I won't get my new computer to April sometime you just going have to wait Ya Dual boot might work but if I where you I get second hard drive if you have one then you can do dual boot. XP first then Vista second it's rule of thumb.

April... I'm guessing that will still be sooner than CL pushing a new driver out to fix the issue, so I'll be sitting here in eager anticipation til then.
Did want to say thanks for making the mods Robert, phenomenal job. I'll be more than happy to donate some cash your way, once you've got a Vista set.
Rather than have to format drive, install XP, then Vista, I'll throw XP on the 1TB striped drive. Should be easier.

Hey.
I downloaded the Vista 1.04 drivers and they do not work.
More info:
I have Vista 64bit Ultimate Edition.
My card is X-Fi Extreme Gamer Fatal1ty (or at least that's what i think it is, cannot double check the package cuz my gf is asleep in the room with it).
Anyway i tried installing it and it doesn't work. It "looks" like it installs it, reboots the system but then nothing happens when it is rebooted
Checked the device manager and says the card has not been installed properly. After uninstalling it i did use Driver Cleaner.
I also tried the V1.00 and that one did the same. It recognized the card but the audio did not work.

Btw... there might be something wrong with your 1.04 package
It says 1.04 but when i install it it says 1.00 and unlike in previous versions it does not create a folder in program files.
