??? which soundcard, which driver?

I just installed XP. It doesn't recognise which soundcard I have and I don 't know myself!

How can I find out which soundcard I have, (there is nothing written on it,) and thus which driver I need to install?

Thanks.

System Specs

Is it integrated on board?
Does it have anything written on the card (any numbers)?
Did it work before?
Can you give a picture of it?

it would be very nice if you had a picture of it, but if you could describe it, that could also help. Also, you may want to take a look around your computer parts an see if you can find a disk or CD which has something related to some form of soundcard on it (that could be a driver CD).

Also how old do you think the sound card is? It could be that XP won't support it even if you find out which card you have. Another idea is to disable any onboard sound you may have in your bios. <If you have onboard sound>. You could have a conflict between the two even though this is unlikly.
