Default Post Coaxial S/PDIF out for Aureon Sky/Space

don't know if anyone posted it before... anyway, i just got my Aureon Space and found a very simple way to hook up coaxial S/PDIF output to that card (the sky version is almost identical, so this procedure also applies).

you're gonna need to whip up a cable... don't worry, it's very easy. anybody that can twist a pair of wires and use some tape won't have a problem. two plugs are needed. a small two pin plug and a female RCA/Cinch plug. the first one looks like this:

that's a digital cd audio cable. you can rip off such a plug from one, or for example from an old PC case, such plugs are used to connects the LEDs to the mobo. you can of course buy one in an electronics store....
as for the cinch... i'm sure there are no explenations needed... just rip one off form an old cable or buy one...
now you have to connect the the two plugs together with a piece of cable... got it? good, now we got to stick it somewere...

i've marked the ground with a blue dot and the signal with a red dot. just connect the cable there. ground on the cinch is on the outer portion of the plug, so the cable that connects to it should be connected to the ground on the card. don't worry about mixing up the polarity though, if you'll connect the ground to signal and vice versa nothing will blow up, it just won't work. in fact, nothing should happen even if you do a silly thing like shorting ground with the S/PDIF signal (yeah, i've done that with my SB Live :P).

digital input's probably there too, i havn't looked for it since i don't need it now, perhaps i'll check it out tomorrow... or within the next two weeks EDIT: or when someone asks me to do that :P
