speaker switching back to 2 speaker from 4

after i restart the speaker settings switches to 2 speaker, it should stick to 4 speaker but doesn't seem to save it.

System Specs

CTHELPER does sync your speakers settings under windows.

This was a bug for a long time. When is the last time you upgraded your software? I had this problem with my old Audigy 2 once in awhile until some updates were released.
