noise canceling headphones? good? recomendations?
Hey, so I tried out a pair of Bose noise canceling headphones (those insane $300 ones) and I LOVED the noise canceling feature but the sound in them was shoddy. I get better audio out of my Sony Fontopias...
so is there something better\cheaper i can get with noise canceling? Is there a way to get something alittle less bulky as well?

the earphones i'm going to suggest aren't active noise cancelling, but due to their design they'll drop ambient noise by 30-40dB (like earplugs)
Etymotic ER-6 or ER-4

those are pretty expensive...hmm...still they're not bad.
I wonder if theres a place to test them out. I'd like to see how much noise they cut out. My sonys cut out quite a bit but not nearly to the level of the noise canceling ones i tried. I'm betting those have great audio though.
