??? Audigy 1 OEM driver problem

I tried to install the lastest Audigy 1 drivers( AUDRVVXD.EXE)from creative site/s and each time I get a system freeze when I run the AUDRVVXD.EXE application ...

I have tried various combinations/sugestions but with no luck so far...

I am using Win 98SE/P4 2.4 B/512 DDR 2700/ P4S8X mobo/Audigy OEM Gamer etc

Any ideas chaps?

System Specs

I would recommend the Compaq driver pack and/or the Audigy 2 drivers. You might want to try a search in this forum for reference.
