Two things.
Which OS are you using and which drivers on your 9000?

Hmm..with a Duron, I'm going to guess VIA chipset, so have you downloaded the latest 4 in 1's? (Now Hyperion drivers) Go ahead and install them. What driver set are you using?
If it only happens when you're running a game, it could be your power supply or maybe your CPU overheating. Could you relay some more info about those topics?

I am running Win98SE.
I have at least a 250 watt PSU. I can't remember. I have never had a prob like this Before. My Last card was a GeForce2 MX400 64meg. I never had a program tell me that I do not have Hardware acceleration. Well back when I had a Virge chip I was told that, but that is a long long time ago.
I have a good fan on the CPU. I have a case fan also bringing cool air in to the system. The room the comp is in stays around 60 degrees.
I am running a SIS 735 chipset. I have updated drivers in. I will look to see if they have newer ones.
I don't know what to do. Accordign to Sandra I don't have T&L. But 3DMark 2002 said I did. This is driving me nuts. I am about to beat my comp into submission. I love this card cause I have Dual Monitor Out and a TV out for DivX, But I need to play some games for relaxation. Dammit I wanna carjack someone in GTA3, I wanna shoot Nazi's in RTCW
Please Help.
Thanks

Saying that you switched from a GeForce was helpful.. You should try either this or this guide to completely remove your previous drivers, or I believe this little program will do the trick for you. Try those, and let me know how you end up..

I already used the detonator destroyer. I even went through safe mode to make sure there were no ghost remanents of the GeForce.

I think I have it figured out. I was in my Bios looking around seeing if anything needed to be tweaked. I looked at my AGP aperature and it was set at 256. I was thinking about it and I told myself, "I have always seen my friends AGP aperature set to 128 and that is as high as their computers let them go." Well I turned it down to 128 and went back in to windows. Cracked open Sandra and boom.....they goes my acceleration. It said I had a Hardware accelerated vid card. I ran Vulpine (I thought I would go ahead and stress it) with FSAA 6x turned on. I will tell you that was some beautiful shit there. It didn't crash once. My directX games are runnign faster now too. GTA3 is fast and smooth. even with FSAA turned on.
If anyone tell you they lost HW acceleration tell them to check the aperature. that might be the sneaky culprit.
I want to say thanks to Junk and digitalwanderer for their help. I will definately keep this as a forum that I attend and help in myself.

I wanna know why I can go up to 256 and I have never seen that on anyone elses mobo. I wonder if it would actually help me if I add another 128 to my 320. I guess I will h ave to buy some more ram...LoL
I am glad I finally found a good ATI forum. There is info all around for a GeForce but not much for a Radeon.
I hope to help contribute here very often
