ATi Radeon 9600xt.. Driver problems..

well like the title i am haveing problems with the ATi drivers to my Radeon 9600xt.
i had this problem sens 5.10 when i had win2kpro. but i alot of junk so that windows died..

now i got winXPpro installed. and i have tryed a few drivers to the card, but noe omegadrvers yet... but ill do that later..

but the problems is when is start a game that runs Direct3D and OpenGL it works in the menu, but when loading a map i only can play for about 1-2 seconds then it eder hangs or gose black. then i have to hitt Ctl+Alt+Del or restart the pc. Not just the games is the problems. when im surfing the web (like here) and when i scroll down the page.. it loads like waves.. lets say it laggy..

so what can i do? reseat it? (take it out, put it back if im right)

this is really getting to me

, but stuff has to brake one day..

My spec

ASUS A7V600+X 8x
ASUS ATi Radeon 9600xt 128MB
AMD Athlon 2500+
1024MB Memory (what co. i dont know.)

Uninstall the drivers. Reinstall the most recent Catalyst drivers. Do not change the default settings and try a game. If you are having the same issues come back and we will try something else.

i got it to work with a little help from my dad, but i have notice some small problems wile gaming.

exsample:

in bf2 when i get a grenade sock or get shot (not kileed) the screen freezes, but all the icons and flags get moved allover and leaveing like hunderd of that stuff.

In HL2 game, there im missing letters. like this:

error: rt Blu [AO ]
Normaly: ArticBlue[AOF]

im thinking about reinstallin my driver and go for Omegadriver this time..

or is there something els i can do?
