Pissed Need help with x800 XT!

I recently bought this X800 XT and been having lockup issues. The first one I RMA'd but getting mostly the same thing on the second. It's vertical lines of random colors in the middle of a game (EQ or 3dMark 2001 and 2003). I have been beating my head against the wall trying different drivers from ATI and Omega. According to a Windows error report, it says it's a 'DEVICE DRIVER is STUCK IN INFINITE LOOP' error. Anyone got a fix for it or have a similar issue? All basics have been done (i.e. updated mainboard/chipset drivers, etc.) Here's my setup:

ASRock P4VT8+ mainboard
P4 2.8E Prescott 800Mhz HT (temp:56C)
1GB DDR 400
ATI ALL-IN-WONDER x800 XT 256MB
80GB Seagate 2MB Cache
400W Power Supply
onboard sound and LAN

PS: FPS rock on this thing if it will stay stable! Thanks for your help in advance

Here's something to experiment with if you haven't already done so: Go into the BIOS and manually set the AGP to 4X instead of 8X. There is neglible difference in performance between the two and it might fix the problem.

It also would help if you list the things you've already done in your attempts so that we don't repeat something not knowing what steps you've already taken.
