Gigabyte MAYA II GV-R9700 Pro
hello guys,i recently brought a Gigabyte MAYA II GV-R9700 Pro and i cannot get it working without freezing on me everytime i try to play a game,my motherboard is a soltek SL-75FRV,i have a 2.4 amd athlon,2 sticks of 512ddr memory,i know theres a problem with the KT400 chipsets,it works fine on a p4 system,plz get back to me guys if u have any ideas

I have the same graphics card as you, except on a different setup. What drivers are you using for it? I found the ones on the CD that came with the card weren't all that good - I kept getting stuck thread crashes in Windows and stuttering in games like SOF2.
Try the latest Catalyst drivers (3.0? 3.1?) or Omegadrivers (I forgot what the current version is), but be sure to completely and utterly uninstall the old drivers first...

hello again.thx for the reply m8,im using the latest Catalyst drivers ,and dx9.i know the card is ok as it works fine in a p4 machine

I have a recommendation for you and that is disable AGP Fastwrites and even ATI recommend it. I also have a Radeon 9700 and it makes the card a whole lot more stable
