EEK! Powercolor 9800xt Problems Like Crazy

Ok, I bought my comp about a year ago, with a 9800xt. At the time, it had just come out (a year has gone by fast). Newest card, friends drooling (yeah we're nerds, we know). So I'm pwnin noobs on cs 1.6, and all the sudden my comp just freezes. I had to keep yelling at the ppl who I bought my card from (www.ibuypower.com = useless azn jibberish) to send me a new card. It was working fine. Well I kept updating my vid drivers (catalyst), and kept up to date. Yeah, well when I am playing games like Counter-Strike: Source, Battle Field II, Final Fantasy XI, etc., it shows something that looks like white pixels that appear and then dissappear. Also it distorts (only seen in FFXI) characters, it's like using photoshop and using the drag option and draging it for a split second, and then ctrl+z to go back to the original, it just does it over and over again.

This isn't even nearly as bad as CS:S and CS 1.6.

if the image doesn't appear, here is another
http://www.imagedad.com/uploads/1411926efe.png

Also after loading a game it starts changing random pixels on even the desktop. While I was typing this, it kept changing random pixels to colors such as green, white, and purple. I have an Abit Is7-E mobo, 1 gig RAM. I tried in friends comp (same socket), and it was doing the same thing. Please help, I am in such a rut.

ok, so after i posted my last reply, i was like "Hey, here's an idea. How about I put the mini-fan (thing we use to cool down the living room by 10 degrees or so) and point it at my vid card." so I did this, and it somewhat fixed my problem with games, so i guess i am gonna have to get an actual video card fan, or cooler. please tell me which one would be more advisable. btw, the fan is spinning on it, but i have seen many other forums (funny how this card gets so much attention, yet malfuctions [at least for me] like a beast) that people were just having over heating problems. thing is, my room temp is like 60, 65º at highest (are we cavemen? probably). Thanx all, also, if you know it's not over heating and the fan is just working by luck, then please, please tell me. LATER

Get a Zalman VF700 Cu, and you should be good. Easy to install for beginners and cools really well.

Hex you get a commission on these recommendations???

SicKleSlasheR, on hex's recommendation I just repaired a 9800XT this very week with a VF700Cu... I can't recommend it enough. Easy to install, I can't get the card above 70C now even under the most brutal stress-tests.
