video problems
i had a recent HD crash and before the crash every thing from dvd to on line gaming worked fine. i got a new HD and reinstalled ervey thing and did all the updates. but i seem to have a problem with on line games any where from 5 to 20 min into the game my screen goes into fragments. as in the graphics go all crazy. but every other program i have works fine. im running XP home edition... 2 intel pentium 4 3.0 .... 1G ram .... ATI radeon mobility 9700 256mb ... on a sager labtop... a fiend of mine thinks it might be some kind of window pixel refresh problem ... any how i dont know that much about this type of problem... taking all help i can get at this point lol..... tyvm
ps... i also when to ati and tryed to DL the updated driver and when im installing it i get 2 error messages 1th is INF , no video driver 2nd is , it tell me to try to install a vga driver then reinstall. i did some looking around and found a site saying there was a problem with one of MS updates and onpenGL video games, the site had a mod DL for the INF and VGA files then the new driver for the ati 9700 installed fine. i restarted and checked all the programes and everything was fine untell the games agin lol.. the graphics go all fragmented.
pss... i am not OC in any device .. everything is factory set. i loaded jedi knight: jedi academy today to see if the problem was limited to on line games well it turns out that the normal game was worse with the graphics problem.

this is what happens ... eq2 after about ten min. swg dose the same thing after about 30 min... this happened at temp 38 C.
