ATI Tral tools error

I have an nVidia card now (yes, boo, hiss, and all that) but this concerns the tenacity of ATI tray tools, so I thought I should post this thread here as well.

Hey folks - I just replaced my ATI 9700 pro in with an nVidia 6600 GT, and I'm getting an error having to do with ATI tray tools, I believe.

Now, keep in mind that I did everything by the book - uninstalled all the old ATI drivers using DC pro, installed the new card, restarted in safe mode, etc.

But, every time I startup, I keep getting an annoying error message in WinXP, "can not load low level device driver, please restart application." And, if I check my system tray, that little ATI box appears, and then disappears (if I try clicking on it, I get a little error message as well).

Any hints on how to get rid of this problem. I tried a freeware Registry clearner, and that still didn't work (maybe a full version will?).

thx!

H3X4D3C1M4L will become famous soon enough
System Specs

Try going to Start > Run > msconfig and removing any entry to ATI Tray Tools then uninstalling it.

Or just uninstall it period.

Well, that solved part of the problem, thx - it's no longer loading on startup. BUT, ATI tray tools doesn't appear in the Control Panel --> add/remove programs list at all. So, how do I uninstall it?
