I supgrade worth it?

I owe a P4 1.8 with a GF 3 TI200 and 512 SDRAM!
Yeah sdram!! It's from the times where no ddr P4 systems existed and RDRAM was too expensive.
I wont upgrade my mainboard because it's an old P4 and i needed to buy an old socket mainboard.

If i upgrade to an ATI Radeaon 9700 do i get a phuge performance increase or will the SDRAM kill all of the additional performance the ATI has?

Thanks and merry X-mas!

Don't worry you'll still feel a big boost going to a 9700 Pro, but the boost would be more on a faster system

You don't understand DriveEuro i think.
I can't get better RAM. If i get better RAM i need a new mainboard AND a new processor!!! I wont invest that much.
Most likely i'd need a new case too because it's avery small case.
I am thinking about getting me a 400W power supply and a radeon 9700 (not pro).
The case has only 260W and wont run with the 9700 i fear.

Very true I still love 3dfx. But don't forget that plenty of former-3dfx engineers worked on the GeForceFX
