nV MAY lose the performance crown, but they'll be widespread by then. Frankly, I'm putting my money on the fact that R520's yields suck and we won't see a 32-pipe version until 2006. That's the paper launch date, too.
Anyway, I think people will be dissappointed with performance here on out of new video cards until U3 comes out (or at least games on the engine). Current games just can't stress the video cards enough to show the true performance difference between cards. I mean, c'mon, how much is a 32-pipe G70 going to improve things over the 24 pipe version? Same goes for ATi cards.

I agree. I didn't see the expected gains I saw going from 16 to 24 pipes. I mean 8 to 16 yes big difference there but 16 to 24 is too smal lfor the premium paid

Bah well what pipes add is AA and AF and higher resos... Since most of todays cards ALREADY max that out, we don't see a gain but steadily, it'll come
