Inf Error?

Hey guys,

I just registered so I could ask a few questions. Havin some problems updating my drivers. Lately I'm havin problems playin a few games. I think I've narrowed down the problem and I think it's my video drivers. I'm not too much of a computer wiz so I'm not really sure. A few games are givin me problems, they load just fine but after a few minutes my comp freezes up completely and I hear a weird beeping noise. Not sure if that could be a video card issue or not.

I tried installing the latest catalyst driver but I get a error message that says: INF ERROR Video Driver not found. I have a Radeon 9800 Pro and I'm using Win XP Pro. I'm not sure if the video driver is causin my problems but I'd like to sort out whatever this error message means.

I'm sure this problem has already come up and I'll search the forums for it, but I'd really appreciate some help or a link to some help. Again I'm not the brightest when it comes to comp's so be easy on me.

Win XP Pro
Intel Pentium 4, 3.20 GHz
1.00 GB of RAM
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro

Run driver cleaner and reinstall your drivers, problem could be pre-existing video driver components, also what version of catalysts are you using?

hmm... I just looked at this thread: Common Problems and Fixes
It looks like 3 could be the solution to my problem. But do I need to download Omega Drivers? or will doing the first step and trying to update be sufficient?
