Help Me please with 700pcie

Hi, I stink at this stuff. I did a stress test with cs:s and as I start the test I get 3 or 4 red Error spinning.
any way I play call of duty andmy fps drops use to stay nailed and smooth @ 125 fps.
now it drops and I stutters , I think thats what You call it. I call it glitchy.
I have redid my drivers a bunch of times and did a restore to a early point but problemis there. the only thing that fixes this is a destructive restore and Im not doing that.
the machine is a gate way media addition with a x700 pro pcie.
I try'd to put those new 3.5 i think drivers and it doesnt like me. wma hangs and wont install.
is there some where i should be looking.
it seems as though every time I go to change a setting. this thing dies.
I got a 108fps on cs:s down from 113 b4 and I forget the driver. 5.2
but dont know if this is a bios thing or what. I stink at this stuff

P.S the game was running fine and then I got this problem , thats why I redid my drivers.

if you do a search on the steam forums you will see that it is a bug with the last update and that 100s of people have this problem.later
