Resolution problem with mobility radeon 9700

New here so I hope you bear with me. I have a laptop with that card and it's running xp. The thing is that I have 3 monitors
1. laptop: running 1400*1050 ( which is running fine)
2. A Hyndai q17 running at 1280*1024 (which also is good)

I can change as I want to between these resolutions.

However my
3. Di Boss is not producing anything like a clear picture.
Product specs for this screen:

So I have tried to use all different sorts of resolutions with no luck. It seems like the radeon card doesnt really know how to send signals in that format. I am using av VGA cable. It's very annoying because nvdia based cards detects the monitor immideatly and one can go for various resolutions.
Idont think that this problem is only for my screen, but a universal problem for all radeon cards trying to hook them up to these big screens.

I am considering selling my laptop to invest in something nvdia based.

Welcome to the forums.

Are you even able to choose the native resolution for your display? It's 1366x768, which is a pretty rare resolution for any card to support. Anything but native resolution will give you poor visual quality on such monitor.

Have you received any drivers with your TV/Monitor? If you did - make sure you installed them. Otherwise there are ways to add custom resolutions to solve your problem.
