? about my Radeon 9800pro

Hello all, i just bought my friends card for 160 bucks. I want to know how can i find out which core is this card is. Also i would like to know what type of memory is on here. As far as i know is it is a 9800 pro with 128 megs or ram, 256 bit memory interface and thats it. My friend told me he thinks its a newer 360 core, and i have the latest omega drivers installed.

Any help will be welcomed

the only way for sure to know what core it has is by taking off the hs/f and looking at it.and the ram should be marked on each one hynix or samsung or ?.

$160 is way too much to pay for a 9800 Pro used these days (I know a reputable place to get just the card itself for $98 right this moment), but in response to your response:

this is Hynix memory (poor overclocker to begin with) so you will likely not have too much luck getting more performance out of the memory.

Heatsink is not glued (or should not be glued rather) to the core, you can take it off using a pair of thin pliers to press the locking mechanism on the back of the card to release the sink. Mind you, this voids your warranty, so if you care about that - I suggest you simply try overclocking it slowly, 5 MHz at a time, checking for artefacts with games/benchmarks.
