getting rid of omega?

recently ive heard that the catalyst drivers were getting better than the omega ones so i would just like to try it.
however, after uninstalling my omega and using driver cleaner, my computer still recognizes the omega driver. What should i do to get rid of it?

Also, when you run DC Pro don't forget to check the "select multiple cleaning filters" box, and choose ALL ATI listings except the IGP ones.

at the time being plz just keep the omega's, it isn't exactly an encouragement to him if u rid his drivers at the first sign of trouble, besides i don't think u'll get a performance increase anyways.

I also would like to add that this is not the way to speak about some one thats given ATI fanes and moders his best... OMEGA gives above and beyond cause thats the way he is... and for someone that doesn't pay him a cent there is a way to ask a question!!! even if you do just want to uninstall OMEGA and try other drivers... no one forced you to use them... so next time just be a little more respectful in your questions...

Yet 4.12beta and 4.12 official Omegas are still one of the best sets today . So "outdated" is very relative.

As the original message stated, he wants to try the new catalyst drivers out for comparison purposes -- I don't think he's yet made the decision to keep omegas or not.

ATI is aware of omegas, and other competing driver sets. In an industry where shelf-life for hardware is no more than 3 years, you're constantly upgrading software and firmware... I'm sure the creator of Omega's knows this and expects it.

The fact that Omegas 4.12 are considered the 'gold' standard for almost 4 months is impressive, but they are indeed 4 months old. Time to get a 'spring' release of Omegas to keep pace I think.
