Sparta is on a distinguished road

Is a 9800 Xtreme a 9800 XT, or a normal 9800?

Hi, first time poster, long-time lurker.
I'm buying a new graphics card and i'm not sure whether i'm buying a 9800 XT or a regular 9800.
The product itself is called "GeXCube Radeon 9800 Xtreme 256mb" but because it says Xtreme, i'm not sure whether its just a sales pitch trying to trick into buying a regular 9800, or if it actually is a 9800 XT.

Also if it is a regular 9800, i was wondering if there is a big difference between a 9800 and a 9800 XT.

Thanks in advance.

The official GeCube page doesn't mention the card, but several google hits suggest this is a 9800 non-pro with a cut down 128bit memory bus (256bit is standard). Sounds like a bad buy.

yas if dats the case u definatly dont want a non pro w/ 256 megs a RAM and a 128 bit mem bus, friend of mine juss bought a RADEON 9800 256 RAM 128 bus by powercolor from neww egg thinkining it was moddable, here to find out theres sum kinda bios lock to keep him from flashing the bios.( if any one knows any thing bout a bios beeing locked onto the card lemme know, he tries to flash w/ floppy n it come up n says bios locked after he commands it to flash, seems sumthing might be soldered closed on the card?)

also wat r the stock speeds for the gpu and the RAM on the card, cant remeber my friends, defaults at like 350 core and 299 mem i think, watever it is i know its significantly lower than a 9800PRO and way off from an XT. My XT default is 412core 365mem, and im able to push it to 460-440core and 400-390mem depending on the AP im tryin to run.
