Yep I'm in Perth and I got the voucher with a 9600 XT that i bought a while ago, haven't tried to redeem it for the game yet though, did you not get it at all ??

I think the game is due for retail release here on the 16th November.

i bought a 9800xt last jan. n recieved the free voucher coupon, n also there was a promo pic on the box. A couple of months l8r i noticed that the cards in bestbuy no longer offered the free HL2 voucher(same place i purchased mine) im pretty sure it was only a short time thing, so unless the one yer gettin has been shelfin it fer awhile i doubt it has the voucher. they were prolly all gobbled up a while ago, never know though might get luky!

Look, from what I know as long as it has the promo on it it doesn't matter how old the card is! If you want you can put that serila number that comes on the box send it to ati or something and activate it through the net with steam and tsart playing countre strike source already and on the 16th at 00:00 in the night you can also open the half life 2 and start playing.. wWhat i don't know cause noone ever answered me is if they give you the cds in case you open it through the internet! Anyways I think they doa nd I don't understand why haven't sent the coupon already! Just do it through the internet and they will respond! Start with the instractions of ATI and send them the number for the bundle with the game to give you your new code for steam like they did with ours!

I did look into it as well, the voucher has a scratch off strip that reveals the serial number that you require, i thought they did say that you had to mail something to them but i can't remember for sure it was a while ago i must admit, but as far as i know the offer was on all 9600XT's, it was a promo as the Card was supposed to have been made for the game but it got delayed that many times before it is finally released, it's been coming soon forever !

Guys don't even wait for it! Get in the site and i think you can already send them through the net the number that you said that came out after you scratched it! That is the serial number of your coupon for the game! I'll check for it on the ATI site cause I don't remember after more than a year that i got mine so I suggest you start looking for it too alreay once it's yours! Look for the Ati Valve bundle!

the promo is over, as i said in another post about this (actually it was about what card to buy) unless you get an older promo card that's been sitting around for a while you probably won't get HL2 with your card.

on another note, for 60USD you get HL2, CS:Source, DoD:Source, HL:Source, CS:CZ, CS, HL, DoD and a whole bunch of other games.

Hey Battleaxe187

As a favour from one aussie mate to another, i'll mail you my coupon if u wan't.

I've checked it out, the code thats revealed by the scratch off strip is the cd-key for the game when they send it to you, i have got a preordered copy through a friend of mine at a really good price so i'm getting a copy that way.

If you can't afford it or don't wanna buy it i'm more than happy to give you my voucher and you can try and get the free copy.

Is the voucher only for retail boxed cards? I got mine from my PC manufacturer but never got a voucher. Should I have gotten one?

I think it was only for boxed retail versions and was part of a promotion when half life 2 was supposed to be originally released, they said that the card was made for the game, but the game release got delayed that many times, the promo would be over from what i have heard but they will have to honor any vouchers that exist.
