Can't overclock my card?

I try to overclock my Vistiontek x800 xt pe using radlinker that came with the new omega drivers. My card temps range from 40C to 54C, I've tried only OCing the core and not the mem, but whatever I do, every game seems to crash after a few minutes of play, either to the desktop, or video signal will cease any my PC will hang until I reboot. Any advice?

haven't

haven't tried it yet, I dont really like the idea of overdrive, it wants to overclock the card when it's cool enough, but when under full load it doesn't overclock very much if at all. I want my card to be OCed when playing games, not while I do everything else.

If youre upping only the core, and youre computer starts crashing/freezing, id say that the card wants more voltage to the gpu in this case. Memory-overclocking i think only shows flashing textures and doesnt crash/freeze the system but gpu is very dependant on the voltage.

I had to up my Sapphire's voltage to 1.63vgpu to get core running 630 and just to let you now, few mates are running their xt's at 650 with 1.5vcore so its a different situation with every card.

Anyway, your descriptions are much the same i had at the start with my card, so if you want higher mhz, gpu needs more juice .
