Help me with Radeon 9800SE..i'm in troubles!

HI all! it's the first time for me using this forum... hope to recieve some help..

I know that my Radeon 9800SE uses only 4 of 8 pipelines... i've downloaded the latest omega drivers... installed them with the option 9800SE ->9800pro/xt.... etc.. but something doesn't work..

Ati tools detects artifacts everywhere!! on the cube image there are lots and lots of small squares and the same happens when i play games...

the problem is solved if i re-install the standard drivers (4 pipelines...)

now.. everibody makes the 9800SE working with 8 pipelines... does anybody knows why i've this problem??

Thanks a lot!

The 4 extra pipe lines on your card should be present; however since they aren't exactly designed to be used they might not be 100% functional and may be producing artifacts. I believe that the mod isn't guaranteed to work as those pipelines might not be completely functional on some 9800SE cards. Can I get a second opinion to be sure I'm not wrong?

System Specs

se cards have the 4 pipelines locked due to some sort of fault, otherwise they would of been able to be clocked as a np or pro speeds.

modding with the omega drivers are fine with these cards if they work.but i do presume you are getting artifacts without overclocking.it would look like you're cards is not modifiable.
