9600XT Modding?

just wondering is their is any way of softmodding or flashing a 9600XT into something better? My Current card is a Sapphire 9600XT 256mb and I'm strapped for cash to buy anything new, cheers

nope, 9600XT is the best it's goign to get as the 9600's are on a completely different die fabrication process (.13nm low-k i think), and thus it's is physically impossible to make it anythign else....sorry

welcome to DH tho...pull up a chair and stay a while

PS - nice lookign rig you have there

You might be able to overclock it nicely if it has the right parts. There are some producers that offer a 50MHz by default to the core, or up to 100Mhz to the memory. But that's it, and only if it has the right parts.
Or, maybe replace the cooling solution to improve overclocking capabilities. Also, try to identify the latency of the memory chips to get an idea of the max working frequency for the memory.
