Radeon 9600 hangs while watching movies

Got Sapphire R9600 , P4P800 , 1 GB of RAM , P4 2.60 , Audigy nad others.

Sometimes I get display frozen and sound is stucking repeatedly while watching movies. Then only reset button remains.

what's wrong ??

PS what about FW for R9600 - gotta be on/off ?

try switchign the fastwrites, yes..if they r on, try off, if off, try on...


also..what application are you watching these movies in...winDVD, powerDVD, ati mmc, winamp, wmp 8/9/10/classic, video lan, quiktime, etc?

Any player and as far as I noticed any use of overlay causes this

Had the same problem with my ATI Radeon 9600 PRO, but after downloading and instalkling CATALYST 4.9 (beta), aeverything ran smooth as a baby's bottom.

p.s. I use POWER DVD.
