As of right now its a waiting game, you gotta find a place where you can pre-order and get in line..LOL you may have some luck on E-bay or something like that..just use pay-pal if you do use an E-bay type place, helps with not getting ripped off.

I would not buy an X800 XT for a PC like that, it'd be kinda useless. Get her a 9800Pro or 6800nu at the most
But if you really want one anad you'll have to wait anyways, order from VisionTek.com. Their cards are great and carry a lifetime warranty

Well if you want to upgrade your system, I do it now as the x800 XT most likely won't come out for awhile.

ARE YOU JOKING???? you want to spend +500$ on a card for a PC thats worth less then 200$???? I"ll give you my 9800XT for free if you buy me the x800XT
putting an X800XT on that PC would be like putting a 500HP V12 engin on
a FIAT PUNTO.... its just not done....
I would cry for days if i found that you were realy going to do this for that PC..
its like waking in the street and seeing an OLD 95 year old woman driving
a Lamburgini Diablo.
Its just not fair!!!!

i also agree with what has already been said.
i don't see the point of buying an expensive gcard and installing it in a slowish rig.there will be no gain in peformace at all.id go for something a little further down the line and save some cash.

I just got off the phone with Alienware, i talked to a Supervisor about your getting a card through a friend, he asured me that in no way would that happen, so i would hang onto that X800pro..i explained to him that many people are waiting for these cards and it was not fair that just becouse someone knows someone theye will get a card before someone that has been waiting for a month, so as i continue typing my joke i feel that you have used your friend and he should have the Bobbit procedure done ASAP.. ..And as for your harddrives, if you update your MotherBoard bios and/or your MB chipset drivers it wont hurt your Raid configs..good luck..

Mmm. my connections at AW would get me an X800PE.....however they require compensation in the range of $450 for their hard work in attaining this card for me. Sadly that is out of my budget. Ah well.
so AW employees seem to have no problem hooking people up. I'd be careful about calling up alienware and asking such questions. It hurts those of us who have nice friends. IT also could get very good hardworking employees fired. THATS never good. They might go hire some joe blows off of HP to replace the fired workers. We wouldnt want that now would we Titanium? eh?

$300.00....Retail box and all.It would more than likely bring more than that on E-Bay.You still have to stand in line to get one.I think thats fair.

It gets better. I also have a Power Color x800 Pro that I bought of a buddy who needed money because of a divorce. Only thing wrong /w that card is it can't be modded into XT. It's been sitting in it's box for just under two months now...collecting dust as well
