Radclocker Question
I just bought a Sapphire 9600 and the Rad shows 325/202 when my 8500LE showed 250/250. What's up with that? Thanks.

the memory is ddr...dual data rate, it's effective memory speed is really 404
so your real speeds are 325/404 or as ATI prolly rounded it to, 325/400

I understand that. So apparently it's a recent change in advertising approaches that threw me off, and although the new card is 128 bit, the memory is actually 100 meg slower than the 8500 card? That sucks. Maybe I'll return it for a Pro version. Thanks for the reply.

The 9600 NP cards are not real screamers by any stretch of the imigination, a 9500 Pro, 9600XT, 9700 Pro, 9800 and up are all nice cards though

Funny you should say this. I just requested a refund from NewEgg and ordered the Pro. It certainly looks like the best deal. Thanks.

In the beginning of the thread I said I was going to buy a NP-9600 which I did. I just ordered the Pro this morning.
