9500Pro Help
For some reason (im running on windows 98 btw) whenever I try to run my ATI Control panel I get this Mesage"Warning:The ATI Control Panel failed to initialize because no ATI driver is installed, or ATI driver is not working properly. The ATI Control Panel will now exit." Basically its reading that I dont have drivers even though they are working, because im in 1024resolution and using true color. I cant play games either, like wc3, says I dont have drivers or direct X. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling i have all the latest drivers im going crazy I dont know what to do.

Welcome to DriverHeaven
Here is what I would try. 1: Go to add/remove programs and remove all ati software, MMC, Control Panel, Drivers etc. 2:Boot your system into "Safe Mode" 3:Run Driver Cleaner and remove all traces of ATi, then while not necessary you may also want to run the Cab cleaner as well 4:Reboot let Windows load default driver 5: Do a fresh install of your new video card drivers, and your motherboard chipset drivers and perhaps even directX Driver Cleaner |
