How is this MSI 9800PRO?

Look at this card

What's your opinion of this card?

Or maybe a typical Sapphire one would be better?

System Specs

I like MSI products, I used to have one of their GeForce 4 Ti 4200 and I have a MSI motherboard that works great

I know... it isn't kind - but that card you linked to - according to those specs is a 9800se not a pro

Yeah. I was contemplating..

It was either the Sapphire or the MSI. I was a little skeptical about the MSI. I have their TV@nywhere Tuner card and right now it isn't going "anywhere". I'm going to e-mail the shopkeep and ask him about it...

What does this mean?

8-pixel pipeline architecture doubles the rendering power of any competing product currently on the market.

Drakon,

Yeap

This is what in another forum answer to me, but i don't test my core and memory speeds yet... i don't know how

"Many 9800 Pro cards are currently shipping with the R360 core (the core used on the XT card). Manufacturers are getting rid of their R350 and R360 inventory, and it seems they have alot of R360 cores. Usually they'll install the R360 core onto a Pro board, and flash the GPU to a Pro BIOS. Sounds like you got something special. For reference, if the card has the following notations in the upper left corner of the board it is:

"109-A18800-xx" is the XT board
"109-A07500-xx" is the Pro board

Also, what kind of memory do you have? The code should be right on the memory chips.

Finally, check whatever software you're using with the card (MSI's, or ATI or Omega, etc.), and it will tell you what the core and memory speeds are. 380/340 are the stock Pro speeds, 412/365 are the stock XT speeds."

Yo~

I just installed the MSI 9800 PRO and it's recognized as a 9800XT as well. Of course there is no Overdrive, but I wonder what benefits I get out of it No overclocking yet~ ...keyword: YET!

8 Me thinks..

It's hidden by the heatsink. It's definitely 128 MB of VRAM.
