exclamation Sapphire Boycott

http://www.boycottsapphire.com

For all those who got a 128-bit 9800 pro (like me ) and others who simply don't agree with what they did.
Hopefully if this site gets enough names/attention we could avoid companies from doing this in the future.

personally.. i have no problem with what there doing.... the cards SHOULD be listed as PRO SE or something... and on online sites... they should DEFINITELY list the 128bit...... Aside from that... i think it's great that there providing cheaper... seemlessly slightly slower versions of the 9800 pro 128bit..

Yeah, I agree with that but they seem to keep calling these new cards Pro's which is just not right. It's very-very deceiving and not expected from someone like Sapphire.

I think that there needs to be some kind of control on this, with ALL of the graphics card producer's. It is hard to tell what the hell you are getting anymore.

well thats the whole problem that it was marked as 9800 PRO and that most places had it marked as 256-bit. This is how I got stuck with one, it said it was 256-bit and also the fact that I didn't know about the 128-bit cards until after I had payed for it. If it had a different name such as 9800 PRO SE than this wouldn't be a problem.

I'm just mad at the fact of the false "advertising".

I would agree with the topic. Selling something as one thing, and delivering
another, should be call for a swift widespread news item, and a possibly swifter
consumer-based lawsuit.

Kinda O/T

The new cards with the X800XT and X800XproX yada ya is bad enough.

The roman numeral scheme needs to take the high road. Jeez...
