OC'd 9500 Pro overheating
I have a OCSysyem OC'd 9500 Pro (I think they use OEM Sapphire cards) which I have always had overheating problems with... I think.
It came with some generic tin ramsinks and a Thermaltake Crystal Orb fan.
I then switched to a Zalman ZM90A-HP which worked a little better, but unfortunately it didn't really fit in my Shuttle SN41G2 case. Or with the tin ramsinks. So I went back to the Crystal Orb, and got some OCZ copper ramsinks. But I believe its still overheating.
The reason I think its overheating is that if I play a game it starts to get artifacts after a while and eventually the system will lock. The prime candidate for this is Homeworld 2. I can play for about an hour then magically parts of the ships start to disappear and other strange things happen.
I have messed with the core/ram frequencies with Rage3D Tweak, and the card came at 344 Core/324 Memory, and I can bring it down to 308/290 and it still exhibits the same problems.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I would try some other heatsink for the GPU but I would really like to be able to put the case on the cube. Currently the card with the Crystal Orb just barely fits in there.
