9500 pro / 9700

I just got a new card which is apparantly a 9700np. I installed the omega drivers for it and it shows up as a 9500pro/9700 and the chip type says its a 9700, so whats going on here? Is it a 9700np or a 9500pro modded into a 9700?

ATi drivers will tell you it's a 9500/9700, it's just the way it works

For those who wonder, the R9500pro's and the R9700's use the same core with everything enabled. So there is no modding oportunity there.

Well that leads me to another question... I flashed the bios to unlock it so I can OC. But i can't oc at all, even if i add on an extra 10mhz the computer will just restart, surely i should be able to atleast get past 300? i even have a zahman cooling fan on it.

use omega drivers + powerstrip - that'll sort ya
