9800pro turns monitor off
help please. i have a 9800pro and i cant even adjust the resolution on my monitor without it shuting off. just the monitor shuts off. what does that mean? i need a new card? please help. ive treid the omega NORMAL drivers. thats it. plaease let me know.

dumb questions 1st...did you plug the molex cord into the radeon....2nd, make sure the card is COMPLETELY locked into the AGP port, finally make sure default display is AGP and not VGA in the bios...other then that it's gunna come down to windows, motherboard, or Radeon is dead

Also check to make sure you have an adequate powersupply to power the card. Bare minimum is 300w. If you have more than one cd drive, more than 1 harddrive, etc then a more powerful powersupply may be needed like 400-500w.
