Alittle Disapointed With X800...
I have to say Im alittle disapointed with the way the X800 LOOKS.

I was expecting the next generation of Cards to looks alot more stealthy, more Futuristic. Something like this http://www.prolink.com.tw/2003/engli...%20Limited.htm

With two fans and some type of heat exhaust. The pic of the X800 doesnt look all that great, if you ask me. Or the Ultra6800. I really thought they would put some type of ram sinks on the X800, but they didnt do that.

What do you guys think on the next generation of Video Cards? Do you think they should look more like the pic(link) or do you like them as they are?

er..um.... if they did that with every card.... i think the price would be driven up... and it really isn't needed..... it isn't cost efficient... to say the least..... although i must admit... the limited eddition pic you posted looks quite slick

I understand what your saying, but from what I seen the prices for these cards are supposed to be $600US (seen a british website say the Ultra6800 will be 499 pounds=800US!!) It wouldnt hurt to make them look slick

Maybe the vid card makers will unofficialy supply un replacement part you could use.... or work with 3rd parties to make sleek chromed up video card coolers...

You could always rice it out like a Toyota with a spoiler and a card-edge skirt and have an oversized exaust port sticking out the back of the PC.

Didn't you know? It makes them run faster.

I'm just messin' with ya. But I have to agree with Hawk on the whole look-of-the-card thing. As long as it works, I don't care what it looks like. I imagine that if you look around hard enough, you could probably find some site somewhere that sells ricer mods for your video card.

stealthy is not exactly what I would call a card that takes 2 slots....
