Sapphire 9800 Pro or Retail ATI 9800 Pro?

I am just wondering what you think. Should I go with the sapphire 9800 pro or the retail ati 9800 pro? I mean they are the same card, but is one better than the other? I am hearing that some of the sapphire 128mb 9800 pro's over at newegg have a r360 gpu.

Thanks for that thread... but it really doesn't help me make a decision! lol I am also one of the people that only want retail ATI, but if the sapphire cards are really built to ati's specs and they make some of the ratail ati cards then it may be a good deal. On newegg right now you can get the Sapphire 9800 pro 128MB for $210 and the Retail ATI card costs $245...

All I know for sure is that the cards "look" identical

The cards are basically identical. I have bought a few of the Saphire OEM cards that you are talking about on Newegg. They are really good cards If you are wanting the most bang for the buck though....take a look at the Saphire 9800 Pro in Retail box for $218, it comes with a nice game as well. If the game is one that you dont have, then it could be a good buy for you.

If it were up to me.......I would buy the Saphire Radeon 9800 Pro Retail for $218 on Newegg. But the only real difference is the game that comes bundled with the Retail package. IF you dont need the game.....get the OEM for $210

sapphire makes an amazing card....i would highly reccomend them...especially if you get oen of the 'ultimate' cards with the passive cooling

Thanks for the info. I saved a bundle and got 2 sapphire 9800 pro OEM they were $210 I don't need the tomb raider.. that game makes me sick...

Reason for 2? I am getting one for me and I am building a system for someone else with the other... I had enough extra to order myself a new lite-on 16x dvd rom and a logitech mx duo keyboard/mouse combo.
