Craziness and Pink on 9700 pro

About a week ago I started getting these crazy 3d errors and pink checkerboard type effects. It happens after playing games for a while. I read someplace that it could be cooling and to try replacing the thermal solution. I did that with Arctic Silver 3 and it is stil happening. Am I going to have to get a new card? I don't think its driver's because I rebooted the machine once and got pink artifacts even in the POST. Any ideas? Should I just RMA the card?

It's a Powercolor Evil Commando 2 - 9700 pro card. Anyone else ever had this problem?
