ATi Radeon 9600PRO/9800PRO
Hi. Im interested in buying a new GFX card with the new setup im getting, I wanted to know if there is a dramatic difference between models 9600PRO and 9800PRO. The manufacture is Sapphire.

the 9800pro dumps on the 9600pro!!!
check some reviews.....here on DH....toms hardware....anandtech.....
trust me....9800pro all the way!

Soooo For the price are you getting your dollars worth between the 9600 PRO and 9800 PRO (both 128MB)

r9800np because all the r350 (8 pipe) chips are the same. Just make you you get some samsung 3.3NS ram on it. (only diff between samsungs 3.3 and 2.8 is the voltages applied to it and ATI gives the same voltage to the ram on both the NP and pro boards)
its just like how a barton 2500+ will have no problems running at 3200+ at stock volts, Just like all BH5 chips will hit near the same speeds no matter what their official rating is.

I know this aint got the Radeon 9600 here , but I'm going to show some statistics why you should go for Radeon9800 other than 9600 :>
Radeon 9800 will play better with dx9 games as it's a later model than the 9600 and also if your gonna get a radeon 9800 , best to go with the 128 other than the 256 as the 128 is much easier to oc and the 256 only really kicks in if you wanna go really high resolution and extra detail and it the 256 runs slower than the 128
