get a pro 256, it can hit the same speeds as an overclocked r9800xt can hit.

Get a XT:
- you have overdrive,
- better cooler,
- higher clock without overclocking
- temperature sensor for overdrive
- 256MB on default

9700>9800p is not much of an upgrade really. The XT would be more worthwhile.
Read our 9800p vs 9800 XT review "here" for the comparison between the two, and for a more indepth review of the XT (including gameplay videos....) click here .

Either go for the XT or wait until next year for the New ATI cards. The 9700 Pro is still a great card and would be only worthwhile to go to a XT for an upgrade as of now IMO.

thanks a lot for the info guys...the reason for selling my 9700pro is that i have a good offer to sell it in exchange for the 9800pro...i will certainly consider either one of them...
zero...i am offered to sell my video card for RM850 which is ~USD225...as you can see, i am from malaysia..where are you from?if you really want it, how does the transaction go?btw, it's a gigabyte model and i've been using it for around 1 year 3-4months...
