a problem with a R7500

I know my card is kinda old, but still good for me... I used to have no problem with my card with any driver before CAT3.4, then I updated to 3.6, 3.7, and 3.8 later on..
everytime I did a clean install, but then my performance for GL keep decreasing.. specially after I installed DX9. for example I used to have constant 100 fps in CS but then now drops to around 60-70 sometimes even down to 20-30.. I didn't change any settings or used FSAA at all... and I can tell theres decrease of performance in my other GL games and apps... I dunno if theres some problem with my computer or is it really that new CAT drivers are only good for newer and higher end radeons (9000+ series)... is there anyone can help me out or suggest any driver out there??

hmm... tell us a little more about your system...

I have a built by ati 7200 .. havent had any issues since the 3.8's

my system is a P4-1.6A (OC@2400/150x16), Asus P4S333, 512MB DRR333, 60GB Matrox diamond plus 7200rpm...

is there a problem with it?? but I never had any problem with 3.4 or eariler drivers
