Graphiccards overview

If this is considered spam please delete this thread. I'm also gonna post this in the other gfxcards forums, because there isn't a general GFX forum. I hope this isn't to annoying. Otherwise remove some of the thread. I don't want to cause any trouble.

We at area3d.net have been working on a full scale overview of a lot of graphiccards. We currently very busy with adding more cards and even more information for cards that are already in the list.

The overview gives a lot of basic information and when you click on a name of a card you'll get even more information regarding AA/AF and extra features.

There is also an option to rate and comment on the cards. If you rate a card you HAVE to comment on it. Ratings without the proper comments will be deleted. THis way we want to give a good overview for people who are searching for a new vidcard.

There is also an option to compare up to 4 cards!

Please tell me what you think of the site and give us additional info. Also tell us if you see any incorrect info. We want to create an overview that is correct as possible.

The link to the overview is:

Radeon 9500 non pro, and the Radeon 9500 Pro (I have seen both cores with my own eyes) use the R300 core.... reguardless of what is published about the core that is used in these cards... they both have the R300 core.

Strange... I actually knew that. Don't know why I put that there. Changed it right away, thanx for the heads-up.

Your voodoo5 6000 specs are off. It was supposed to be clocked at both 183 for the chips and memory. That gives it a total memory bandwidth of (183*64/8*4) 11712MBs. Its fill rate goes up to 1466.

Good guide BTW.

Yeah nice bunch,,
But just wondering, you name all Cards by its IP holder.
except PowerVR which are listed by chipmaker/fab. , is there a reason ?
Also, KyroII 4800 has never reached the shelves, so should not be considered IMHO,
& only a few have been made for testing purp.
Greets & keep up the good work

(183*64/8*4) = 5856 right? What is wrong with the calculation?

Updated some parts of the overview. Also added a new part: The Top10

Still a lot of info needs to be added, although there have been updated.
